The telephone was essentially invented to make communication between people that are not in the same geographical location possible, in recent times the use of telephones have assumed greater dimension we now have what is commonly called “smartphones” as if the telephones of old were dummies. A smartphone is used to perform various tasks like reading, taking pictures, accessing the internet etc. It is not uncommon for people nowadays to plug in earphone to their smartphone fully engrossed with music or enjoying a nice program on one of the various internet radio stations that we have, it is multimedia experience generally that this rare application seeks to polish and brighten.

Audials Radio is surely an amazing New Year gift by the developers no wonder it has been downloaded about one million times from Play Store. However, maybe due to the many features the app possesses its interface is not above average there is really nothing mind-blowing about it, the features and options are not neatly arranged.  This does not in any way make reviewing the salient features of this app a futile endeavor and this shall be done below.

Features and characteristics of the app:

Radio recorder: While listening to online radio via your smartphone the radio station might play a song that you have been looking for or the song being played might appeal to your hearing all you need to do is to click on the radio recorder on the app and the song would be downloaded to your music player.

Audials – Globally Sourced Sounds at Your Fingertips

Boasting a boundless array of music genres, the Audials radio app is like no other streaming machine. It captures sounds from around the world, allowing you to experiment and listen to music from all over. It feeds a variety of radio stations straight to your device. All you have to do is browse the selection, choose what you like and enjoy.

Audials features over 80,000 stations. I don’t know about you, but that is a selection that I don’t think will ever grow out of. Spread across these stations you’ll find over 120 music genres.

So, how is Audials different from other radio streaming apps? Can you save a song you just listened to and loved? Audials lets you do that.

Sometimes, and I have had this experience with Pandora, you hear a song or piece you just have to have; or, you are listening to something really cool and have to get up to take care of something. Normally, you’d have to pause and play, and oftentimes you would just miss the song. With Audials, you simply hit Record, and you will have that song ready to play whenever you want.

Audials reaches past audio to video, as well.  You can stream and watch music videos and even some shows. An added bonus is that the music and videos stream ad-free – you couldn’t ask for more than that.

Where Audial is strongest is its search engine. You can type in keywords and artist names, even genres, to find what you are looking for, if it’s something specific. If you are simply looking for something new within a genre, search via genre and explore.

With a clean design, the app is easy to move around in and is quite intuitive to use. The scripting on each screen is so easy to read.

If you are already talking yourself out of using Audial because you have no interest in global sounds, don’t make a move. Audials offers a strong set of local sounds, too. This includes radio stations across the U.S. and those that are in your own city.

There are no issues with disruptions in streaming at all. It’s powered to handle a large bandwidth, so you’ll never see a circle that tells you the app is buffering.

A feature I fell in love with was the timer. You can set the timer to shut the app off after a set period of time. I use it to put myself to sleep. Others can use it keep themselves occupied and then serve as a reminder to move on to the next task.

Audial has only one shortcoming – you can’t move your recordings from one device to another. I would really like to do this. Maybe they can save your recordings.

The only downside is the inability to move the recordings from your phone over to another device so you can listen from there; however, in all fairness, the ability to record is something that overshadows this one small shortcoming.

Download Audials soon, because you don’t want to waste anymore time listening to the same old stuff over and over again. Broaden your auditory horizons with Audials and you’ll discover sounds you never knew existed!

Audials – Locally Choose Global Sounds

With over 80,000 stations playing more than 120 musical genres, Audials Radio offers lovers of music an endless choice of sources from which to play sounds that you love. These stations are not just in the U.S.; no, they come from all over the world. Audials acts like a musical hub, allowing users to search through their treasure trove to select stations they find interesting. Sure, there are lots of other apps out there that stream live music, but they don’t offer something that Audials does.

With Audials Radio, you can record something you really like and listen to it later. Who lets you do that?

Sometimes the stream may play your favorite song, or just something you stumble across that you can’t listen to entirely. The recording function allows you save it so you can listen to it later. What is really neat is that you are not required to create an account within the app to record music or shows.

Audials app

Not only does it have music, but it also offers streaming sources that play videos as well, so you can record shows.

Its strongest point, and something I really liked, is the ability to quickly search for and find what you want. It allows you to hop from station to station within genres or based on artists you love listening to. It beats using any search function, which most of the time, can eat up a lot of data and time.

The next strongest point is the fact that the app is commercial free. Imagine that. I have never seen a free app that does not interrupt the smooth transmission of music with annoying disruptions.

Navigating around the app is just as easy as listening to what it plays. The displays are crisp, clean, and colorful in just the right amounts. I loved the font that is used because it made it so much more easy to read and find the stations you wanted to, without jumbling or cramming things up.

If you are not in the mood for global sounds, there are plenty of local options to choose from. This means within the U.S. or within your metro area. The choice is yours!

The sounds that come from the app rival any that you would get from a quality speaker system. The app is powered to a degree that supports smooth streaming, without buffering – another annoyance I hate.

Another nice feature that I know I will be making great use of is the timer. You can find an amazingly peaceful and mesmerizing station that calms your mind and puts you to sleep. I would definitely set that up on timer to put me into a peaceful sleep – every night.

The only downside is the inability to move the recordings from your phone over to another device so you can listen from there; however, in all fairness, the ability to record is something that overshadows this one small shortcoming.
