Getting to exercise classes can get difficult at times – a meeting at work my go late, your kids are sick, a friend needs your help. These small interruptions in life can make it difficult to stick to a plan to keep yoga in your life. We all have the best of intentions in life, but life has a way of throwing us curve balls when we least expect them.
No worries, because there is YogaDownload! It’s an app that mimics the desktop version, which means you can do yoga wherever you want. All you have to do is make the time to do it. The app provides you with easy access to over 1500 online sessions, in yoga, meditation and Pilates. All the things you need to strengthen your mind, body, and soul.
The app is free to download. Once you download, you have the option to use it for free, 5 days max. This trial period lets you choose from the full offering of classes. Once the 5 days are done, you can register and create an account. This will give you 15-day trial period. Once this completes, you can still use the app for free, but note that the variety and number of classes will be fewer. If you choose to get a paid membership, there are a few options: $17.99/month or $119.99/year.
As for classes, there are so many to choose from. They are also broken down by expertise level and by category, so it’s easy to find something that fits your needs. The app also has a great search and filter tool so you can base a search on time limits, level, style, teacher preferences, and focus areas. All instructors who post classes are trained in the areas they teach, so you will be following a safe practice.
You can even set goals and build your own programs to meet milestones. YogaDownload also comes equipped with pre-built programs, making it even easier to lay out a plan and stick to it.
I think the only thing I would say is missing from the app is the ability to play a class but also have a friend participate in it at the same time. That would further encourage exercises to stick to it and not give up.
While there are always features that can be added to make any app better, YogaDownload has done a great job of bringing yoga to the practitioner in a way that lets you fit it into your busy schedule, rather than have you undo your day to fit the yoga in. If you value your yoga and want a way to make it easily slip into your day, then YogaDownload should be high on your shortlist of fitness apps.
