There are not many “tap and match 3” games that can hold on to your interest for a long time, but Wonder Dragons, with its loads of features and entertaining graphical interface, seems to be the best game of this category this year. It is a colorful puzzle adventure, full of dragons that at times, is both challenging and entertaining at the same time.
That is not all, there are various features of Wonder Dragons game. There is a “Spin the Wheel” option where every day you get the chance to spin the wheel and win various valuable prizes, or boosters, or even coins, through which you can make other purchases in the game. These rewards turn out to be very important to make the game a much more pleasurable experience.
There is a “My Home” feature in the game where each dragon lives. You have to unlock all features available for each character. Right next to it is the “Dragon Shop”, where you can buy diamonds or coins, along with various combo-boosting powers. You can also level up your hero dragons to increase their power. The booster power available includes a hammer that helps you break a single cube with it. A paint that enables to collapse an entire row, a shuffle feature that does exactly what it sounds like: shuffle the board. There is a Star Bonus feature where you have to collect 20 stars at least to get a treasure chest and open it to win various booster power and rewards that are discussed above. You also can go on a quest for home with “Home Quest”, where you can choose for either Mushroom, Strawberry, Apple and Blue Boot.
But what separates it from the rest is its unique gameplay interface, which makes the game a lot more interesting than a normal “tap and match 3” game. And any game that has dragons in it only increases its entertainment value! There is Magnus, who is the first dragon that you encounter in the game. He’s smart, a leader who likes reading and playing chess. However, he is afraid of clows but loves listening to music. Then there is Leila, your gentle and lovable dragon, completely opposite to the kind of picture you draw in your mind about dragons. She likes learning new languages but hates worms.
Then there is Gorka, who is a bit like Leila, in that he is lovable and likes helping others. He loves cooking, and eating, and is obsessed with butterflies and afraid of ducks. The Joost, a goofy dragon who always seem to be happy, but unlike Gorka, he likes ducks, but is afraid of bananas! Then there’s Mondragon, who is the strongest and the bravest among them all. While he is a warrior, he’s very easily scared of cats.
It’s not always a match-3 colour game. If you can match 2 cubes, then they only collapse and give you points. If you can match 5 of these identically colored cubes, then you create a rocket, which makes an entire row or column of cubes to collapse so that a new batch of colored cubes pile at the top. Matching 7 of them creates a bomb that collapses all the cubes in the large area around it. But the most powerful, is the disco ball, which collects all the cubes of the same color available in the screen! It’s features and combos like these that makes it a very entertaining game.
Wonder Dragons is available for download at the Google Play Store and works on smartphones with Android version 6 or higher.
