Picture this – you’re at a friend’s party, you see someone that you find extremely interesting and would like to get to know better. Problem is, you don’t quite know how you want to approach them. It takes a certain flair to flirt on your own. You don’t want to come off too intimidating or pushy, but you also want to engage in a subtle and natural way. If you’re not the adventurous type and need a way to introduce yourself to someone you’ve been eyeing from across the room, then you need to download Camera Flirt now!
Camera Flirt is just what it says it is. It’s an app that uses the camera or, more precisely, offers you the opportunity to ask someone to take a photo, which sets off a chain of interactions that could land you a date. Camera Flirt allows you to go up to the special someone, ask them to take a photo of you, you and a friend, or anything. If they agree, you have got step one done. Once they take the photo, from within the app of course, Camera Flirt will thank them for the assist and will then ask them a question that you have chosen.
Questions can be one of the following:
- Can I have your phone number?
- Can we connect via Facebook?
- Can I get you a drink?
That’s all it takes. It’s up to you to gauge the person to see what they would be up for, so as to not irritate or turn them off. But, most people will find this type of inquiry fun. Not only does the app offer you an opportunity to engage with the person by asking for a favor, it then asks the question to connect for you.
Free to download, the app has other features as well. You get to save and store your flirts, so you can look back at how you did. You can even mark your favorite ones, so you can find them easily. Maybe even use the history to see what lines worked best. What I really liked was the ability to design the flirt questions and answers. This allows you to customize the questions and interactions to match your persona, which makes the app your own, and helps you engage more successfully with your future date.
If there were anything I could recommend as an improvement, it would be to add connectivity to a wider variety of social media. I hear youngsters are steering more towards Instagram and SnapChat over Facebook.
As it stands, Camera Flirt is certainly an ingenious way to break the ice, ask a simple common question of someone, and get that engagement going, without feeling like you don’t know what to say or how to act. It puts the two of you in a typical situation, adding a dash of fun into the mix that puts a smile on everyone’s face.
