I am going to start by saying that I most definitely failed the galaxy! After referring to the game’s description, I was honestly looking forward to being wowed. I was however a little disappointed.

While the app was easy enough to download, the file is reasonably large so unless you have WiFi, it requires quite a bit data to download the game.

The graphics are impressive! There has undoubtedly been a lot of effort that has gone into the development of the game. The images, shapes and bold colors are appealing and definitely add value to the app.

I found it very difficult to actually navigate the game. There are no logical settings or instructions. While there is frequently something happening on the screen, there were just not enough details that helped me to better understand the game. I did come across a YouTube clip but it merely contained a few screens of the actual game levels but again no detail or instruction that would direct a player.

The lack of detail and instructions did not bode well for my free credits. By the time I had figured out what I was indeed supposed to be doing, my credits were up. I will also add, from what I eventually figured out was that while you are dodging fire from the enemy, you can also catch coins that drop out of nowhere.

At the start of the game, I was asked to choose my avatar/hero, that was easy enough but once I had selected the avatar, I was kind of getting lost. The next thing, I was on a screen where I was apparently supposed to avoid being shot while simultaneously taking out the enemy ships. Needless to say, I failed horribly.

I was also not sure how to restart the level or save my game. There is really not enough detail for an inexperienced player to sufficiently navigate between the levels and settings.

There are in-app adverts which if they are not intruding on what I am doing, do not really bother me but there was a time or two I had to endure watching a short advertisement for another game. I am sure this was due to me pushing the wrong button but considering that the buttons, controls, and settings made absolutely no sense to me, this can be expected.

I found a preview button which essentially just transported me back to the play store. I tried using the link to the website for player instructions, but the website link took me to a facebook page. I just never had enough time to work through all the posts to find what I needed.

The only settings I did eventually figure out were the sound and music. The apps landing page mentioned language settings, showing a number of languages to choose from. I never figured out how to navigate the language settings either.

Galaxy Warriors has potential. From the graphics alone it is clear to see the developers are definitely talented and have what it takes to turn out an amazing game. I only recommend they pay attention to the more minor details like instructions, clearer settings and practical information like navigating the levels.”
