Money management is essential to making every dollar stretch to help you pay bills on a daily basis and to help you stay on track for future plans and expenses. Using a spreadsheet works but is not as easy to access or update on the fly when things change. Sometimes, having an app that does the work for you, given a few key pieces of information, makes the most sense.
The Debby App is just one of those apps. It’s available for iOS and is very easy to use. All you have to do is make a one-time purchase for the app, download it and enter some basic pieces of information about your monthly budget, and the app does the rest. These pieces of information include income, bills and amounts due, dates these bills are due, and what you want to do with the balance of money you have leftover.
In short, this app serves as a nice dashboard if you will of all the money coming in and all the money that goes out, on a monthly basis, so you can see what your overall financial health is, what adjustments you may need to make, and how much you can save for future expenses. It helps you get through your month and it helps you plan for future projects and plans, from one place.
Some interesting features that help with money management on a daily basis include the ability to view funds that are left over from the previous day’s daily budget and allocating them to your savings. The app also alerts you to “call to action” on bills or payments that are due today. You are alerted by a red dot that appears on the payment item. This ensures you makes payments on time and avoid late fees.
One strong point in the app is that it does not save any data in the Cloud. Now, this could be good or bad, depending on what your feelings are on the Cloud, but in if you are the type who worries about where your data is being kept, then there is peace of mind in using Debby App. What this also means is that you are responsible for backing up all your information, to prevent loss of historical data.
Speaking of which, the Debby App does store your information and transactions, but does not currently provide a way to see the historical information or report on it. This is definitely a feature I look forward to seeing in future updates, as I know many will love it.
Overall, the layout of the app is clean and easy to read. It’s simple, too. Once you have let the app know all of your expenses for the month, it goes to work to let you know what you will have left over in the month once all your expenses have been paid. It also will “lock” the leftover amount so you can use it to plan for next month.
I think this tool is something that anyone who is struggling with money management can use to help them be in control. Being in control and knowing where you stand helps you create a steady system and clears the path towards growing your saving and doing what you want. I highly recommend downloading and giving Debby App a try to help you get to where you want to be.
