Five Nights at Freddy’s aka FNAF was created by Scott Cawthon and released in August 2014. The video game after its global hit became something like a pop-culture phenomenon.
After the success of the game, the creators of Five Night at Freddy’s published many books including a novel trilogy. FNAF’s main series consists of 9 games. In the first three games of the series, the player plays the role of a security guard working night shifts at Freddy Fezbear’s Pizza.
The animatronics, who are actually teddy bears that have come to life, are homicidal. Animatronics come to life and become mobile at night. It happens because if they don’t move for too long then their servo motors will get jammed. The player has to save himself from getting mistaken as an endoskeleton by the animatronics and getting stuffed in a spare animatronics costume. The player has to use doors, cameras, vents, and lights to avoid getting found by animatronics and getting a scary jump scare. The phone calls from previous workers or the owner of the place during gameplay work as a tutorial backstory for the game. From the second game, the creators introduced 8-bit minigames. They can be played during the game or randomly after death. In the fourth game in the series the player becomes a kid stuck in his own bedroom.
The fifth of the series is Sisters Location. On it, the location changed at Circus baby’s Rentals and entertainment. It is the only game in the series in which the protagonist can move between rooms. Freddy Fezbear’s Pizzeria stimulator is the sixth game in the series. It is a little business-oriented because the player runs a pizzeria and has to plan to increase the revenue of the business. Ultimate Custom Night is the seventh of the FNAF series and the game has a total of fifty animatronics to choose from. The players can kind of set the difficulty level by choosing appropriately.
The latest of the main series of the game FNAF: Help Wanted was launched in 2019. The game is available in VR and non-VR. The series has kept on progressing and making the newer game better and better. There are other games from the makers of FNAF other than the main series. Five Nights at Freddy’s World was different from the series. It was an RPG game. In it, the player can choose from the four animatronics from the first game of the series.
First released on 22 Jan 2016, and getting criticized by players and critics for launching the game in haste was re-released for free in Fab,2016. The FNAF games have been highly rated by the market and players. The admirers reviewed that the game has a good storyline, intense background, and scary jump scares. The creators have adopted new technology in gaming very well all the while preserving the series’ atmosphere and feel. The rating was so good that the latest of the series game was rated as one of the PlayStations Favorite Horror Games of 2019.
