Polar Pizza is the latest entrant to this genre. It requires iOS 10.0 or later and is available on the App Store for free. If you agree that there is no better feeling in the universe than a warm pizza box in your lap, then you will most definitely enjoy this game.
Polar Pizza is about as simple as it gets. It has two game modes – Story and Infinite. In the former, there are 30 levels, each requiring the player to make 5 pizzas before the time runs out. You have to put in the correct amount of each ingredient displayed on the screen by dragging it on to the pizza. In the latter, as the same suggests, there are infinite levels with the same instructions as the story mode. The challenge lies in the fact that the pizza will be moving on a conveyor and you have to put the ingredients on before it reaches the end. All sorts of toppings – mustard sauce, grated parmesan, pepperoni, mushroom, and onion – are featured in the game and the required amount is indicated on a small chart in the corner. Quickly looking at the chart and putting the desired amount of toppings on to a moving pizza adequately tests the reflexes. You have to get the ingredients of at least 3 pizzas correct to move to the next level, or you lose.
Polar Pizza is quite addictive too and its peppy background music sounds refreshing. To make the gameplay more diverse, all the levels feature different ingredients with some featuring chocolate syrup and marshmallows. Now, I wouldn’t prefer to eat a chocolate pizza but some people dig it, and it’s surely fun to make it in the game. The graphics in Polar Pizza are decent and in line with the theme of a polar bear cook making pizzas for the customers. Another great aspect is that the game doesn’t bombard you with advertisements. It is an apt game to fall back on when waiting for your pizza order to get delivered or any time you feel bored. Because it requires your attention and focus, Polar Pizza also helps in diverting your mind from bothersome thoughts and putting it at ease.
The gameplay of Polar Pizza may seem a little challenging in the beginning but once you get the hang of it, you will find it quite easy to play. And this may be a little problematic because devoid of any challenges the game seems pointless at the least. Not to say the repeated ingredient list after every few levels make it feel humdrum. An increasing level of difficulty with every stage would have made Polar Pizza more exciting.

The game is not about collecting points or going through unnecessary hurdles. Polar Pizza is like a tribute to your favorite Italian dish.
