News is everywhere, real or fake. We have to take steps to ensure that what we read is coming from a reliable source and, even then, we must be extra careful to really think about what’s being said and how viable it is. The same goes for the news you want and need to keep your investments safe.
If you’ve been wishing for a place you can go, and I mean a single place, to keep in touch with the companies you’ve invested in, then SharesInside should be the next app you download.
SharesInside brings you the business news you need and gives you tools to automate how you see it. It provides an extension portfolio of companies from which to choose. All you have to do is go in and find the ones you are interested in, whether it’s because you’ve already invested in it or plan to. The app takes care of the rest, delivering the most up to date information about the company, how it’s in the news, what it’s been up to, and when and where events may be happening.
The download is for free and you can register using an email address or your LinkedIn profile. Once you get past this step, you are free to roam.
The first place you’ll want to visit is ALL COMPANIES, which is the rightmost icon at the top of the screen. From here, you can search for the businesses you want to follow, from almost every company around the world. When you find what you are looking for, simply tap on Follow and you will instantaneously receive information about that company.
This option gives you insight into companies that you may be considering as a future investment or may serve to help you evaluate your current investments.
Tap on the suitcase icon to go to your portfolio. This is where you can keep a permanent list of the companies you invest in and want to keep a close eye on. It provides up to date news reports and statements issued by the company, in addition to shareholder meetings. What’s important to note here is that you can easily keep track of what a company is up to so you can decide for yourself, based on trends, if you want to keep, reduce or increase your holdings.
What I was hoping to see was the ability to possibly print some articles from time to time, but that does not seem to be an inherent function in the app. Possibly some time down the road it will be available.
Nonetheless, SharesInside has made it so easy to keep informed about the companies that matter most to me. I never had time to keep up with what was happening with each of the companies whose shares I owned, which is an important part of being a smart investor. Now, I can do so easily, using SharesInside.
