There are tons of word games out there, but what I see so much of is games like Ruzzle. It’s a game in which you’re presented with a matrix of letters and a two minute timer. Your goal is to create as many words as you can before your time is up. The words can be of any length. The connections can go forward, backward, up, down and diagonal. You can’t choose the same letter twice.
Playing on your own is fun, but once you really get the hang of it, you will definitely want to start competing against others who are playing online. That’s when the challenge ignites. Now, you are not just up against the clock, you have to outdo others.
But, that is not such a daunting task to take on. Ruzzle Cheat is the app to get is you are playing Ruzzle and want to do well. Ruzzle Cheat is not in any way owned by or affiliated with Ruzzle, but what it can do is take an image of a Ruzzle puzzle and will provide you with a list of possible words.
Now, I’m not big on cheating, but sometimes you need a little help to get your engines roaring so you that you can clear the finish line in record time. Ruzzle Cheat is a free download and is super easy to use. All you have to do is take a picture of the Ruzzle puzzle you are working on and upload it into Ruzzle Cheat. The app instantaneously spew out a list of words that will qualify for points.
I have to interject here because the first time I tried using Ruzzle Cheat, I was doing so using one device: my iPhone. I would highly recommend you use two devices so you are not jumping back and forth between apps. What happens is that the Ruzzle game pauses, causing you to tap and then swipe the words, which can slow you down.
I tried playing Ruzzle first to see how it’s played, then I started up Ruzzle Cheat and used it to full advantage. It worked pretty well. There was a long list of word that tried to make use of the bonus letters so that I could accumulate maximum points. Many of them were not familiar to me, but hey, it gave me an edge.
What would be nice would be the ability to somehow get to the list easily and not have to jump back and forth between screens. I lost quite a bit of time doing just that.
Until that is a reality, I will use Ruzzle Cheat on my iPad while I play Ruzzle on my iPhone, so I can swipe more and move my way to the top of the list.
